Monsoon Cafe Reviews1212 3rd Street Promenade
Dress:Casual to Dressy For a more intimate and decorated atmosphere, check out the Monsoon. It is located on the 3rd Street Promenade, next to the Banana Republic. It is at the very end of the Promenade where 3rd Street meets Wilshire. If you are not 21, they often do not card (even though technically they are 21+). Tropical deco inside with warm yellow lighting. Come on Wednesday nights after 9 p.m. and see a live band. Very crowded but the highlight here is that people are FRIENDLY and they are happy to dance with you. Monsoon Cafe is a sushi bar by day.

always good live bands but floor is small and prepared to get get stepped on. nowhere nearly as good as it used to be.
WATCH OUT FOR THE UNETHICAL TIPPING SCAM AT THE BAR!!
THEY ALREADY CHARGE YOU FOR THE TIP SO WHEN YOU TIP THEM YOU ARE TIPPING THEM TWICE!!! ALL THEY HAVE IS A T-I-N-Y SIGN AT THE BACK OF THE BAR THAT SAYS THEY ALREADY CHARGE AN 18% GRATUITY BUT THEY MAKE IT INTENTIONALLY HARD TO VERY HARD TO SEE.
